CICO® WSM 3000 T Approved by PKP PLK
CICO® WSM 3000 T has received official approval for use on railway lines managed by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. The approval covers its use as a lubricant for friction components in railway switches.
This marks another important step in the development of CICO® solutions for railway infrastructure and confirms the possibility of using CICO® WSM 3000 T on one of the largest railway networks in Europe.
Specialized Lubrication for Railway Switches
Railway switches operate under demanding conditions, with interacting components exposed to mechanical loads, water, contamination and significant temperature fluctuations. Proper lubrication helps reduce resistance to movement and supports the reliable operation of moving switch components.
CICO® WSM 3000 T was developed specifically for these applications. The product can be applied at temperatures down to –50°C, is water resistant, remains effective at high temperatures, reduces the adhesion of dirt and contaminants, and offers low product consumption.
Official Approval for the PKP PLK Network
PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. applies formal procedures for approving products intended for use on the railway infrastructure it manages. The process includes a detailed assessment of the product, its technical documentation and its suitability for the specified application within railway infrastructure.
Receiving official approval is therefore more than a formality – it means completing a defined assessment process and confirms that the product may be used in accordance with the conditions specified by the infrastructure manager.
